Okay! Don’t assume this is coming from the Silicon Valley founders, lol, just take it as someone who has this crazy dream of doing something worthwhile before he can’t. Since the time I got exposed into the Entrepreneurship path, I just wanted to do or build something. But there no template for me to follow, I didn’t read any book neither did I take a course. Did I regret it? NOOOO! Infact those practical experience made it more interesting before I started doing it formally by taking the GST10something and other advanced courses, in fact, I don’t know if you have gotten to a level you thought of the past experience and you be like, WOOOW! Damn! I did alot of crazy things that didn’t make sense but it is worth it.
I started alot of stuff that got few users or clients and got some pay or none, while some stuff I started died on the laptop where I started building it. Does that sound familiar with you?
Ok, what about those crazy ideas that died in your head because you didn’t start anything about it? In fact the annoying part is when you see that your crazy million-dollar idea being implemented years after you thought of it. Lol. Na that one dey pain pass because you can’t tell anyone you ever thought of it base on how that idea don grow.
Well, for me, I am glad that most idea I thought of, I started making a move, even though I don’t follow best practices as they will say, do market research, validate, do this and that, it is also helpful. Those moves I took gave me some level of satisfaction even though it didn’t get to that million-dollar stage, lol, I don’t think some even got to #10,000 stag.
However, I feel if you have played around working on your ideas, it’s time, you start taking it seriously, I think I didn’t take alot of my ideas serious, wait! I did take it serious right but not really that serious of me believing it will become more than just an idea. You get. I want you to start taking that business or idea as a business. Look at it like an Empire that will be controlled by a board of directors very soon. That’s one great advice I can give right now. Take it Seriously.
Then, let me talk about something very very important, hmmm, me I won’t deceive you ooo, without some money inflow in your startup, hmm… e go tough small, but you can still do it. I don’t want to start elaborating on this but how will you feel on working on your Empire with some money in the account? You will feel at ease and you can do what you need to do to grow. Infact when money is in the account, you build things faster. Although most people have done a lean startup and bootstrap, that can also work for you.
Well, some people might say “We have heard some people started in the garage, yes! Do you know the kind garage they started from? If you know, you will laugh. You will hear some people started from their bedroom, Yes! That bedroom has resources example – internet access, do you have 40GB allowance for data to start your business or research work to build your business. Some people will say he resigned and Start a business, do you know how much he had in his account before resigning?
I am not discouraging anyone from starting from scratch, I have really struggled to grow businesses due to finance which makes it look as if the idea isn’t worth it. I will talk about how to raise some money to work on your idea sometime. I try to keep my article as short as possible.
Anyway, make sure you learn something and keep learning, every experience or journey you go through is worth it. Bye Bye.
